Holly Arnstein, Diana Ortiz, Ashley Poole, and Kasey Sheridan are living every girl's fantasy. They are the pop stars of
Dream, who have emerged at the center of a whirlwind of spotlights, photo shoots, travel, and red carpets events. For these
four California girls - who are globally known as a double platinum, urban-pop vocal group - the fairytale began with an unlikely
mentor.
Dream got their start in 2000, when they auditioned for music mogul, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs. The prominent hit maker was
notably impressed, and signed the foursome to his Bad Boy label on the spot. The pairing raised a few eyebrows in the industry
a pop act joining a well- known urban/hip-hop label? What P. Diddy saw, of course, was Dream's undeniable talent, energy,
and spunk.
The ladies of Dream are real they speak their mind, and sing that way. They blend vocal harmonies with pop melodies and
add fresh beats and independent attitudes to each song they perform - a combination that was immediately embraced by pop and
hip-hop audiences alike.
The good girls of Bad Boy became certified pop-stars in 2001, when their debut album, It Was All A Dream, skyrocketed up
the charts, led by the hit single, He Loves U Not. The song's sassy bravado struck a chord with female fans and earned the
respect of the guys - and it wasn't long before Dream was performing on MTV specials and touring with acts like N Sync, Britney
Spears, and 98 Degrees.
In 2003, Dream will wake the world up with another smash release. Their anticipated second album won't be on the shelves
fast enough for the many loyal fans who have been clamoring for a follow up. While the original line-up has changed to include
Kasey Sheridan (original Dream member, Melissa Schuman left to pursue acting), the girls lost no time in assembling a collection
of new songs for their sophomore album. As the executive producer, P. Diddy spent much of 2002 working in the studio with
Dream and the industry's top producers - Rodney Jerkins, The Underdogs, and Mario Winans.
Each member of Dream has a different musical influence, ranging from Classic Rock, to Pop/R&B, Jazz, and Gospel. Diana,
Ashley, Kasey, and Holly share a passion for performing, a sisterly rapport, and a respect for each other's individual style.
Holly is a no-nonsense girl who charges into a challenge. Her fierce vocals color Dream's lyrics with an intense range
of emotions and lend a soulful strength to their sound. She has a dry sense of humor that everyone relies on to relieve the
tension of the hectic daily pace. The L.A. native began singing duets with her musician father, performing in musical theater,
and even attending a performing arts school before going on the road with Dream.
Diana possesses a quiet strength often mistaken for shyness - but the girl with the sweet smile knows her own mind and
won't be taken advantage of. She is the emotional core of the group whose pure, high vocals convey a sexy vulnerability and
a carefree playfulness in turn. Diana comes from the San Fernando Valley and discovered her voice unexpectedly, when she belted
out a song one day at chorus practice and shocked the entire room. The rest is history.
Ashley is a quirky comedian and the most loyal of girlfriends, who offers blunt observations that hit the nail on the head.
Growing up in Blythe, California she studied dance and acrobatics for years. Her upbringing was full of the sounds of gospel
and church music, which accounts for the heartfelt and passionate way she lays out her lyrics. Ashley's raspy mid-range brings
the perfect balance to the group.
Kasey is the newest and youngest member of Dream. She came on board after being selected over countless applicants in a
rigorous talent search. In the process, she won the respect and affection of her current band-mates by picking up every song
and dance move in a matter of minutes. Growing up, Kasey thought she was destined to be a dancer, but as her confidence in
her voice grew, she knew she would only be happy doing both. Kasey stepped into Dream's hectic world without an ounce of doubt
and has not only become the little sister of the group, but contributes a strong presence and powerful vocals to the group's
harmonies.
Dream maintains their spunky energy and urban-pop sound that won over so many loyal fans in 2001.
They anticipate the release of their sophomore album in the spring of 2004 .
